Boat Hull Protection

Environmentally safe, clear film boat hull protection stops scuffing, algae, mussels, barnacles and other marine growth.

Proven, cost effective method eliminates dangerous acids, and wasting time and money on non-acid cleaners that just don't work.

Crystal clear adhesive film protects all types of hull construction. Fiberglass, aluminum, steel and wood hulls can be protected from all types of marine growth in fresh or salt water. Other benefits include protection from scuffing, trailer rash, rocks and sand.

Are you concerned about using dangerous acids to clean your hull? Some problems such as blistering in fiberglass hulls and erosion of aluminum hulls and pontoons may be aggravated by cleaning with acids. Consider the environmental impact of cleaning with dangerous acids; in most areas their use is illegal. Instead, fight the 'green' with green technology!

How to apply Hull Protection Film

1) Work in shaded area, begin with clean hull, remove wax in areas to be treated with adhesive film. Note: it is much easier if you have one or two people helping you throughout the process.
2) Cut boat hull protection film with scissors or razor blade, if desired, to optimize fit.
3) Use plenty of soapy water (dishwashing liquid works well) wet surface, and keep wet. Begin by peeling backing off adhesive surface of boat hull protective film and set on hull. Squeegee out air bubbles as you go by starting in the middle of the film and work towards the outer edges. Continue until entire length is attached and all air is removed.
4) While surface is wet you will be able to peel the boat hull protection film back if there are large bumps or misalignments. Do not let the adhesive surfaces of the film come in contact with each other or it may crease and ruin the film.
5) As edges of the boat hull protective film dry, they will stick better. Be patient, all water has to dry in order to achieve good adhesion. It will simply depend on the temperature and humidity. Continue to check and squeegee edges until there are no air bubbles or spaces evident.
